The Pack will participate in the Capital Area Council's "Scouting for Food"
service project on April 5th and 12th, 2008.

Last year, on April 7th, 2007, Scouts from Pack 166 and Troop 159 distributed 1300 food
bags in the Canyon Creek neighborhood. On April 14th, 2007 volunteers from both units
picked up 125 bags -- about 1045 pounds -- of food. Parents ferried the food by
car and truck to the Hill Country Ministries food pantry in Leander, where other
Scouts sorted the food and stocked the shelves.

28 scouts, 14 leaders, 15 parents, and 1little brother from Pack 166 and
Troop 159 "did their best" to help feed the hungry and disadvantaged in Austin.
