Volunteer Opportunities

Scouting depends on volunteer leadership. Being a leader is fun, challenging, and rewarding! Scout leaders often find that their experiences can help them to become more skillful parents and better managers and leaders in their professional lives. Scouts with parents who are leaders are often more engaged with and involved in Scouting and go farther in the program when Scouting is a family activity.

Some of the many dividends that will enrich your life as you dedicate some of your time, talent, and enthusiasm to Scouting include:
  • Fun and fellowship with other families, sharing your pride in the boys' accomplishments
  • The privilege of helping to enrich and strengthen families
  • A chance to help boys learn good citizenship and to help shape them into men who have strength of character and are sensitive to the needs of others
  • The opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of boys as they grow strong in mind and body
  • A code to live by which will set a worthwhile example for both boys and adults

There are currently opportunities for:

  • a Pack secretary (keeps records for our monthly committee meetings)
  • a Training Chair (encourages leader training, keeps our training records)
  • our Popcorn Chair (Popcorn Kernel) for Fall, 2008. This is a key job -- popcorn is our only fund raiser -- doing a good job on it keeps the cost of dues and activities fees DOWN for everyone!
Cub Scouts is a family activity. Show your boy it's important to contribute! Thank you!!
